Cat began practicing yoga as a way to add a physical element to her meditation practice. She believes learning how to move throughout life while remaining relaxed and focused is an accessible practice anyone can do to cope with the pressures of society and personal struggles. While maintaining a humorous and fun atmosphere, Cat teaches in a simple and direct manner, giving students space to turn inwards, learn about themselves, and see their problems clearly. Students can expect respect and compassion, regardless of background or skill level. Cat is a Zen meditation practitioner and trains at Daiyuzenji Rinzai Zen Temple and received her 200 hr yoga training from the Chicago School of Yoga.
I think that Kat is a natural teacher who has ease with adapting the class to all capabilities. She is clear and concise in her instructions. She also made all of us feel engaged and able.
